  1. 207 BC: Chrysippus, a Greek stoic philosopher, is believed to have died of laughter after watching his drunk donkey attempt to eat figs.

Taken from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_unusual_death...

So what is the most rediculous death you have ever heard of or what way would you like to go?

I'd like to go defending a school of disabled Norwegian children from wild rampant platypus.

Unusual I would say!

Tennessee Williams died putting eye drops in. He took the lid of the bottle and put it in his mouth. When he tipped his head back to put the drops in his eyes he chocked to death on the lid smile

My dad used to work in the fire service so had to deal with various unusual deaths.
The craziest was the meat factory worker who jumped into the meat mixing machine!

I was at the Grand Canyon last month and found a curious book in a gift shop - All about people that had died in or around the canyon. Two that caught my eye were:

1) The old fella who was stood with his back to the canyon, posing for a photo. His wife said "step back a bit I cant get you in...."

2) A young couple were having a romantic evening on the edge of the canyon, watching the sunset. It turned sour and they had an argument. He stood up, turned his back on her and stormed off - Right over the edge"

Fortean Times have been reporting on these for years.

Worst one I ever read was about someone I had met. That was unpleasant to say the least. eek

Two I am aware of.

Geoff Porcaro, drummer with quite a few bands but most famously, Toto died in a very un rock n roll way - gardening. He was spraying weed killer, and inhaled too much which triggered a heart attack due to a previously undiagnosed condition.

My Dad's uncle. He was on Subs in WW2 and got sunk - but survived but had problems after the bends that meant that he could no longer be on subs. Then he was on ships, and got torpedoed, survived but was injured and sent out of the navy. He went on to work on repairing damaged structures following bombings. He was partnered with a deaf bloke and they were working on a bomb damaged railway bridge when he noticed his deaf partner doing something dangerous to the structure. As the bloke was deaf, he ran across to get him away, but the bridge fell and killed them both.

They buried him, and a little while later, his grave received a direct hit from a V2 rocket.

I guess the Germans really had it in for him.

Subtle, you are a sick person hehe . Like it biggrin !

The last 5 words are the opposite of the punchline to a Tommy Cooper joke about two aerials getting married...
