May I be the first to suggest www.carlimits.com
Bedford is safe with masses of run off, if somewhat boring. Snetterton is also worth a visit as has run off in most places and is more interesting to drive. Silverstone as already suggested.

I think I would favour Snetterton over Bedford. It's a simpler circuit (assumming I'm comparing with the full GT at Bedford) and for my mind is a more satisfying track day experience.
It's a more traditional set up and feels like a proper race circuit, which of course it is, than Bedford. Limited experience of Silverstone to be fair but it's pretty close to home base.
I suppose we should ask if taking the KTM will be your first experience of being on track.

Brands Hatch Indy is a great track!
ps. X bow v.jealous!
It is, but I'm not sure it's ideal for first time on track in a 360bhp anything!ps. X bow v.jealous!

I'd go for Bedford for the usual reason - good mix of corners and not much to hit. Just get an instructor for the first few laps and build up gradually.
Personally, I think tracking the X-box will be counter-productive for your first outing. You want something slower, easier and more forgiving so you can just get used to the circuit, the environment and the etiquette in a stress-free way. I vividly remember instructing a chap in a Noble M400 (first ever track day), taking him back into the pits after 1 lap and taking him back out in a honda civic instead and promptly shaving about 15 seconds a lap off, as well as giving him some hope of surviving the day.
You'll have enough to worry about on your first track day at a new circuit, without adding 'spanking your shiny new X-box' to the list, IMO.

Thats a good point! How about combe or goodwood, relatvely long straights and combe's got those two fun chicanes
Nope - not exactly ideal circuits for novices either............ Combe is "busy" with lots going on and lots to hit, and if it goes tits up at Goodwood there ia a wall 6ft away from you most of the way round.
Jonny speaks a lot of sense - there is such a thing as too much power. I got my head around trackdays in cars in a 160bhp Elise before I bought the 2-11 - that way I was familiar with the whole idea and etiquette, cornering at speed, threshold braking etc before being let loose in something even more capable. Get started in something less powerful and build up to the X Bow if it really is your first track day, and your post reads as if it is?
