Just bought this for my new wife.

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Blue1999-Jaguar-XK8-Converti...

Can't wait for the weekend, but methinks we now may need a stable rationalisation - she joins the X Type 3.0l Sport Manual, the Series III Land Rover, the company Prius and the three motorcycles...

yikes It does have nice new boots at each corner. Just off to the Jag forum to see if anybody can recommend a good outdoor storm cover for it...

The nikasil issue is long resolved by now. The lower sulphur levels in petrol now prevent the issue from occuring and any engine that had a problem in the past has either blown up or been rectified.
