g50 gear selector snapped

Hi has anyone had / heard of this prob just manovering car on drive tonight before i went out , any way went to pop it in to reverse ( its always been easy to select gears) and nothing one floppy gear leaver, all linkage connected up to and including shaft into rear of box , so pulled off nuckle joint at gearbox end and pulled out selector shaft and something has snapped off the end , heres a couple of photos, has any one got a diagram of g50 03 box so i can get an idea of whats what before i explore more ,

Hi just got back off holiday thought id chance my arm and repost this , basically asking has any one heard of this before ?? , im hoping iv just been unlucky , and its not a g 50 reoccuring problem , ironicly only the weekend before, partly the way it drives ( im getting more used to it now ) and partly looking at the box numbers/ letters it has a lsd fitted and then the leaver thing happens cheers for any ideas ,

Sorry, not heard of this happening before. Can't see it as being a stressed component so guess it's just a random failure?

cheers for that , im glad that it is random, its a bummer but at least i can fit a new one and all should be ok , and i can get back to playing with my newly found lsd
