Hi Simon

Used to do this route on the bike - plenty of scenery

A 629 up to keighley then A650, thenA65 up through settle, kirby lonsdale then A683 to lancaster then a6 and you will pick up a few B roads that run parrallel in to blackpool .... then drive round realise its full of gypsies and drive straight back home for a fish supper

Hi Paul. Interesting route ta. Will have a think.

I like Blackpool. I'm there 3 times this year; Batley Bulldogs v Widnes, then the Stan James World Match Play Darts and then the Back Home event!

Couple yr ago I wanted to do a run from Scarborough castle to Blackpool tower via the b-roads. Would be fun.

Make your way to Haworth, then head through Stanbury to the A6068.
Head through Foulridge and around the back of Pendle Hill to Clitheroe.
From Clitheroe take the B6243 to Longridge, then the B5269 under the M6, straight on at
the lights with the A6 and follow that road into Blackpool.

Not the fastest way but usually prety quiet.driving
