Looking to buy my nephew a penknife, but where can you buy one on the highstreet?

don't want to buy over the internet as it would be nice to see a selection in the flesh before choosing.

(if anyone happens to know of a place in Newbury or Basingstoke then even better biggrin )

How old is your nephew?

May I suggest :- Victorinox - Explorer, Camper, Spartan or Swiss champ. It really depends how much you want to spend and how many layers you want. Can i also suggest you get a genuine pouch for it too.

If he is really young they also do a childs knife I think it used to be called the Junior but its now branded as DofE, it is a bit useless though, rounded tip of the blade and no can opener...

ETA - you can get some very good discounts over the internet, my swiss champ was just over £30 off the internet and usually retails for nearer £60

Newbury you say?

IIRC Millets in Northbrook Street sells a selection of Victorinox models, you could also try Scats by Sainsburys?
