spds on a brompton

I'm having such a good time taking the scalps of all the single speeders on my commute to work (especially down Old St/Clerkenwell Rd) that I was wondering if it was worth fitting some spds to her.

For anyone that hasn't gone for a spin on one - I was astonished how rapid these things are. I purchased one without having taken one out and went for the extra gears. If you use the gears to your advantage they are bloody quick. One single speeder courier yesterday morning was trying to keep up with me and was flat out- he caught up with me about 20 seconds later at a set of traffic lights, laughed, and said to me - "what the bloody hell is that?!"

I thought the pedals were specific as they folded up or is that the Dahon?

If the pedals aren't specific to the bike then I'd say get them for sure, the best way to improve your pedaling, just get the shop/someone who knows what they're doing to set them up otherwise you'll do your knees in!

I've got MTB-style SPDs on my Dahon. I'd say go for it.

I'd reccomend the mtb shoes as they have tread on the soles, you won't slip around or walk like a penguin like you do with look cleats when your off the bike :-)

got to check the pedal fittings to see if they are standard or not.If standard I'll pop a cheap pair on..

should be good for a few extra mphs
