There's a bit of a story behind it...BMW offered a '76 3.0 CSL for the Le Mans trip
and as it's one of my favourite cars I accepted. Anyway, the CSL broke down and I was offered the E30 as a replacement. I would like to take the Chim but I've always liked the E30 M3 too biggrin

Is that a Cecotto? Great ride for the classic.

Just back from Le Mans... It is the Roberto Ravaglia, as per the plaque inside the car, but as far as I'm aware they should all be red and not the grey this one is in. So a bit of a mystery which we are going to ask BMW about.

nono Ravaglias were grey.

I think Cecottos were mainly red?

You sure Daz... as everything I have read said Ravaglias were Misano Red, and the Cecottos Nogaro Silver?

Sorry probably got it the wrong way round. It was 91/92 I was looking at buying a white F plate M3.

One of the Limited Editions was the grey silver you had at LM. Another LE was mainly red but a few black were also made. There must be some geek forum that'll give you the definitive answer or of course the HM archives?
