Re calibrating speedos ?
Discussion
Recently I've fited lower profile tyres on my standard rims. My 944 used to run 15" wheels and 205/60R15 tyres, it now has the same wheels but my Eagle F1's are only 205/50R15. I knew that this would make the speedo over read a bit, apparently this works out that if my speedo was dead accurate on the original tyres it would be about 5 mph out at 70 mph.
Problem is how often does anyone do 70 ? on the M-way I'm normaly sat around the 85-95. What feels more like 90 registers on the speedo at around 105. Which means its now far harder to judge wether you are in licence losing territory or doing a meer points "n" kick up the arse sort of speed.
In short anyone know if its possible to cheeply and easily adjust the calibration ?
