Interested to know myself ....

I suspect it's NOT Kashmir or Starlight ...... and I thought the Saxon Centre (Mela is there) was a dead place now?

Masala Bay?

I wouldn't however say it was especially 'posh'. Also, having eaten there twice now, I wouldn't say it was especially 'exceptional' either.

We went to Christchurch recently. We were disappointed and left to go to Poole instead.
Are you mad? You swapped bumbling grannies for 4000 Vicky Pollards! As for Masalla bay, I went there about 8 weeks or so ago, but I would say it was far from posh, but pretty good food, and rather cheap. The rather loud (and common) group of girls in there may have swayed my opinion.
6 of us, with 8 beers and a bottle of Oyster Bay (for the ladies) with starters and mains was around £120.

Oh, so true!I'll have a look at Masala BAy next time I'm back visiting the Rents. Bit of a creature of habit for the Taj in Westbourne myself.

Ah got ya , I go back to visit for a few scoops and a curry with mates 2 - 3 times a year , and usually end up in Kashmir , and to be fair the food is usually good , will suggest we give this place a go next time .
One of mates has an appt opposite the Avonmouth , and says the food is good although not consistant enough to be excellent , however when it is a good evening and the sun is setting the view can more than make up for any minor failings .

Yes , it's good , I love the buzz of the place most of the time , however it can be 'very pleased with it's self' some evenings depending on the crowd .
(lest they forget they are drinking where Pontins Ballroom once stood ! )
What is the Ship like now on the High street , I hear that someone has sunk ££££'s into the place recently ? ( almost a shame , there should be at least one spin 'n' sawdust in every town without taking out membership for the NADDs !!
