any ideas of career move

Ok heres the deal.
For the last 5 yrs I’ve worked at a major mobile network in the UK.
I’ve gone from advisor to Learning and development consultant to Knowledge Base Manager.
Plus in and around this I have worked for my old mans online marketing company and helped with pitches and presentations etc.
So my skills are basically team management, project management (currently studying towards prince 2 foundation), learning and development (writing, designing and evaluating), copy writing (writing and publishing) and web editing (not developing).
After 5 years i have had loads of development and learnt loads but my pay hasnt kept up. And due to staff on older contracts I basically am being paid less than the team I manage!
Options internally are very limited as the direct grade above me does not exist in my dept. I have applied for a couple roles and did pass but the job went to someone who was seconded to that role.
I have spent the last year applying for content editors, online marketing roles, team leader and training manager roles with only one interview where again I got excellent feedback but just missed out on someone more experienced.
Im after a job that pays over 30k a year, ideally in west Yorkshire and that will continue to develop me.
Any suggestions, recommendations or job offers????

It sounds to me as though you have become a jack of all trades and a master of none. I don't mean to be rude, it's quite hard to "master" anything with 5 years of work experience, let alone 3 disciplines.
My advice would be pick the area you enjoy most, angle your CV towards that and apply for roles in that area. Apply to companies you would like to work with even if they're not advertising, and find a good recruitment consultant who specialises in your field and can give more sector specific advice on your CV, and options.

One other option if you like your current company, speak to the relevant person and ask what their options are for your career advancement. It's not unheard of to create a role for someone in that position, or to give you extra responsibilities so that you are developing your career.
Speak to them about pay as well!
Aside from the obvious benefit that they might be able to do something, if they can't then this will make the decision to move easier.

I was in a similar position 15 years ago ....living in a small town, found a job I fancied 100 miles away...went for it after lots of undecisiveness about the travel/digs...best thing I ever did; met great people, got promoted, grew with the company, learnt loads daily....
then another opportunity came up elsewhere just as I was feeling a bit bored again...so rinse and repeat, moved again, yet another 100 miles away...lived in digs and rented places for quite a few years
15 years later, got the "dream" job with the big money, and flexible location, so moved back "home" and work from there and travel
I know people that played the waiting game, or said "only work no more than 30mins from home" and they are still doing pretty much the same thing as they were 20 years ago...if thats what you want then fine....but if you *really* want something better/different for yourself sometimes you have to go out and find it, and grasp it....dont wait for it to come to you.....its likely to be a long wait.......
my advice is: dont limit yourself to opportunities in one geographical area - if you really want to move on you sometimes have to go to the opportunities, not wait for them to come up near where you have decided to live ..you spend 40-50 hours a week (usually) doing this thing called a job, so you may as well be happy doing it and find the best one for you....wherever that is
