Navigon Sat Nav holder issue - wont stick!

Hey guys, need a bit of a hand here. I first used my navigon 4310 about a month and a half ago. Since then the holder has been in my glovebox. I went to use the holder today and it simply will not stick to the windscreen in the position I want. I have the sat nav in the bottom right hand corner, and for the life of me I cannot get it to stick with the bracket facing me, yet if I choose the exact same spot for the suction cup but turn it facing left, it sticks. The first time I used the sat nav it stuck perfectly fine the 3 times I re-attached it during the day, and 2 times on the way back. Any Ideas?

Wet the suction cup with water then affix it

and make sure the windscreen is clean with window cleaner ideally one that contains alcohol.

Have you contacted the supplier - if there's a potential fault with the bracket then it can be replaced under warranty?
