Evenin Chaps,

Off up to York next week for big sons graduation.

Taking him and GF and others I am led to believe for dinner.

He has suggested Piccolino's or Melton's Too.

Are these ok or are they student haunts????

Views would be greatly received

Both are ok
Piccolinos is just a chain of Italians
Meltons is a restaurant that does a wider variety of meats
Depends if you want pasta or meat and veg?

Always Pizza Express on Lendle Bridge. Good food and a lovely building.

Melton's Too isn't at all studenty and is generally ok.

Depending on budget The Blue Bicycle (have to book) is good and one of my favourites is mainly fish based and a little pricey also annoyingly add service charge!

Ate O'clock is sort of french but very good and reasonable

Oscars or Wildes (different places) are really good but very busy do burgers and grills with good atmosphere, Oscars is best.

Loads of Italians around which generally seem to be ok, Pizza Express was disappointing last time.

Thilda Thai is excellent and no need to book.

Thanks chaps I will give the suggestions a look tomorrow.

Chains are great for lunch, but somewhere nicer for dinner is preferred.

Not sure how many I am taking yet!!!!
