recommendme some cheap slicks

doing the c2c whitehaven tosunderland next week on my trek 6300 mountain bike, could any one help and recommend me some slicks

+1 for the Schwalbe City Jets. I did the Hadrians Wall C2C on them last year on a singlespeed MTB!

Maybe not the most comfortable at 100+ PSI but certainly one of the fastest and one of the most resiliant 26" slicks around for the road.

Is the Sea 2 Sea a route that needs slicks or normal off road tyres? Only asking as I have a mate doing it the week after next, and I have some of those Schwalbe City Jets I could let him have if it would help him.

I did the c2c off road (whitehaven - sunderland)last year on my merlin. There are some fantastic offroad sections (rookhope etc) which if you have a MTB and enjoy the challenge would be a shame to miss. I had full paneracer firexcpro tyres and whilst a little tedious on the roads, the offroad sections more than made up for it.

Keep the knobblies and ride it properly.

I've had a pair of these on my commuter for nearly 12months now. Dirt cheap, but no issues with them at all.

I can recomment the Schwalbe City Jets. I fitted a set for a 68 mile road ride on my Felt Q220 and they were fine. If you pre-order them from Halfrauds and pick them up in shop you can get them for £12 each, the cheapest I could find at the time.
