Got a flyer through from BA executive club. £99 pp for a three night. 5* break in Spain with Marriot but have to attend a 90 min presentation on what, for want of a better term, is a timeshare presentation.

Have considerably less than zero intention of signing up but willing to suffer 2 hours for what is otherwise a seemingly good deal.

Anyone done one of these?

I have heard about a few where the attendees were bussed to a presentation was in the middle of nowhere, and it was considerably longer than however long they were told it was.

That said, if it's sent by BA I wouldn't expect it to be a complete scam, but I guess it would involve high-pressure sales of some sort, but if you aren't a sucker it shouldn't be a problem. If they start talking about buses then grab a hire car and ask them to give you the address wink

on one right now thumbup

not through BA, just a phonecall (as a result of a questionaire-y thing I'd done online)

£99 for a week in a Radisson in Malta (room only so paying for food, but get discount card for the restaurants etc), also had to sort our own flights out.

the 'presentation' is later this morning..... wink

If you don't go, presumably you get back to your room to find your belongings in the corridor?

Do these still happen? So 80's dahling.

I've attended one or two in the past but while already on holiday. Merely used them as transport or free food/drink. Made it quite clear I wasn't going to buy anything before going and they were all smiling that smug grin that I knew meant they'd set their sales team on me. Didn't work.

I've done one in Scotland. We'd stayed at the place before, liked it a lot so decided it was worth a 90 minute bore-fest to stay there again for 4 days smile

I had the same experience, said right at the start I was there for the freebee, and had that 'we'll change your mind' look.

Needless to say, they didnt
