I've tried many tyre shine products but they all give off some fling onto the bodywork. Can anyone please recommend a good satin product which doesn't end up all over the shop?

Thanks.

I've found Meguiars Tyre Gel to be very good.

Give it a few minutes to dry and no 'fling'. Nice deep glossy black shine as well.

You have a few choices, but whatever you use allow it some time to settle before wiping off. For the best natural look, ie matt not gloss, I would go with Einszett Vinyl / Rubber care, Aeropsace #303 or Poorboys Natural Look dressing.

Whats the best way to get this crap off my tyres? Just had a re-spray and they slapped some on. Fortunately they appear to have been reasonably carefull and kept it off the tread.

Had a new set of pads fitted at the same time however. Just been out to bed them in and it seemed rather too easy to lock the wheels on the first couple of stops! So I think there was some residue on the tread. Probably smeared that across the road by now though.

Any decent APC 'All Purpose Cleaner' purchased from a supermarket mixed 5:1 (water to product) and a decent nylon srubbing brush / toliet brush will do the job. Rinse down and then dress.
