If we're delving into the world of the scrapped and reposed, put my name down for this....

The Escort Cosworth, 12th car on list, or the 62 Caddy.

It's an Audi. I call that a result. They're the new BMW (as in likely to be driven by nasty people).

It's so true though, I thought that before Clarkson said it.

Why are the repossessed cars more expensive than normal ones?

Some of those look very tempting. Also worrying, as there's a Subaru on there with two dents in it (and it's Cat D). Link - I can't see much wrong with it at all!

I think it may well be that Audis have become the company car of choice nowadays... all those jumped up little angry sales reps running around causing other roads users grief in cars they would otherwise not be able to afford....

Shame they are brilliant cars in general :-(

I don't get it - to me it just looks like a stolen car that has been torched - if the lack of keys etc are anything to go by.
Is there a story behind it to cause general moanage about safety?

Now THAT is scary re. safety. Those roll hoops have really not done well there.
The driver claims 50 mph into a slopy wall, which made the car fly. If thats right, it's the most brutal 50mph crash I've ever seen - he's lucky to be alive! He got badly grazed, esp on the hand.
Get well soon whoever you are.

I remember going to a local scrappy, and seeing a red convertable in the corner, which had obviously hit a lamp post or tree or cylindrical object at some speed. Anyway, me and my friend, who I'd like to think know our cars quite well, took about 10 minutes to work out what this car was, and that was walking around it, but not going under the bonnet (well, what was left of it, and the engine) or physically in the car (same again).

We narrowed it down to S2000 or MX5, still not sure to this day. There's wasn't enough of it left to see.

Even with the damaging, the build quality shines through. The power. I am proud for this.
