Cerbera dimensions

I've always wanted a cerbera and have recently gotten bored with my V8 MG ZT, the only current issue is would i be able to get a cerbera up onto my drive way. The ZT goes up okay but scraps the front rubber bib. I certainly won't currently want to buy one with living where i am and it wrecking the front cam shell.

Could someone tell me the standard ground clearence at the nose and at the centre of the car?

There isnt really a standard - so many cars have different shocks etc....
Why dont you just ask on here for an owner to pop their car round to yours and give it a try on the drive?

More because i wouldn't want to be responsible for asking someone to damage there car trying to get up it, although a good idea.

Generally it is easier to reverse a cerb into a driveway that has clearance issues. But I suspect from your description that it will be a problem. The easiest thing is to try, most (all?!) cerbs will have a few underneath scrapes and so one more wont hurt?!

From a bit of searching i have come up with a standard 130mm which i suspect is similar to the zt, although would be different if different shocks are used or adjusted as you said. but reversing upwards would work better i would guess.

Whats the front over hang from front wheel centre to the front of the car, that would be the real issue as once the front wheels touch the kerb the front would rise as normal.

Why not use a plank or two to get over the lip/ditch?

Think a cerb will be fine. Have you looked into insurance, running costs and local specialists.

Well i currently have a MG ZT V8 with a 4.6l engine, so running costs should be very similar, i recently renewed my insurance and out of interest got some quick quotes on a cerbera and they are roughly the same as the ZT as i'm 27 so i'm not to worried about that, my theory is if you want to drive the car you want then you are going to have to pay.

I done a quick search and there is a couple of service centres around one in Guildford and one in barnet which are only about half hour away so that is fine by me. Early days yet as i would ideally sell my ZT and all the spares i have and have roughly 10k and maybe a little cash to go towards one.

Yeah thats them, as i was looking at the GU post code. have to go and see some and have a drive see if i like them, be totally different to my ZT, size and power wise, although both are rear wheel drive.

Where in Surrey are you? I am just south of Epsom and am happy to take you for a drive/show you round a cerb. I would be quite interested to see what a V8 ZT is like! I have contemplated getting one as a 'sensible car'

Sounds like a good idea. Yeah no hurry at the minute, as i'm also saving for a house so if i can i'll try to basically swap my zt for a cerbera price wise if at all possible

Just measured the height of my ZT at the fronts lowest point which i know scraps and is roughly 170mm, so at the minute looks like a cerbera will scrap at 130mm if going up at an angle which i have to do now.

The only alternative is to park on the road, which i don't want to have to do, but then i want a cerbera
