Driving down the M1 today, I saw a Disco with A55 Recovery on the side. I thought somebody must have been having a giggle but it turns out they are real and there are a fleet of vehicles roaming the country with this painted on the side. You would think someone would have given it a little more thought!

Childish I know but I found it quite funny.

I think you'll find it's a brand name owned by the VBRJ Councilling and Rehabilitation Society...

They are based in Mold. I would probably have opted for Mold Recovery.

First off why should I not take any of my vehicles down the M1 is it possible that i might have been going to Luton to purchase some items for my business so what is so amusing about seeing my Disco on the M 1 at least i was going in the right direction for Luton. At least if nothing else my sign writing paid off.
Secondly What is so wrong with me calling my business A 55 especially as i am just over a mile away from said road. and to correct other nosey buggers we are not in MOLD or YR Wyddgrug we are actually located in a village called SYCHDYN which is near Mold but at the same time also by Flint Bagillt Shotton Queensferry ETC
Also if you bother to look in any part of the country you will find alsorts of vehicles that have the name of an area or road Printed on the side or maybe the front and rear as well. I don't think that is strange at all

I think what the original poster was doing was highlighting the similarity between A55 and ASS, in a similar way that people make up personalised plates, so what he 'saw' was ASS Recovery.

Says a lot about the original poster smile Welcome A55. You'll no doubt drive past my old Mum and Dad's house in Abergele regularly.

I've been on the back of an A55 Recovery many times. The name doesn't seem that funny if you go up the A55 everyday.

I often get stuck up the A 55 when going to see the missus.

She lives in Llandudno.
