iva registration
Discussion
Who is dealing with the paperwork on your behalf, are they experienced at doing so? What do they reckon? A lot depends on whether any queries arise and then it depends on whether everyone (including especially the civil servants) concerned actually knows the correct answers (and on whether anyone involved is on holiday or not
)
)When mine had its SVA, it was SVA'd on a Monday morning; I went to the DVLA office later that day with the pass certificate, and booked an appointment for the DVLA inspection on the Thursday morning of the same week.
I was driving it in the (Thursday) evening (a mate who was a trader got plates done for me).
By the sounds of it, you've had the IVA, but not the DVLA inspection - however, I'm not sure if the process has changed.

up to 6 weeks for registration/inspection with it being very variable by the look of it,if professional build who presents it builder or owner?
martin
I don't believe that's an issue with the registration, anyone can register it if they have the right paperwork. It needs to be to the office nearest where the car is so they can inspect it (identity)martin
Martin, is it getting done in Aberdeen? Or done for you down south? I had mine done in Aberdeen, took four weeks after the SVA if I remember correctly, most of that was waiting for the very friendly DVLA inspector to come and have a look at it in my garage. Although I didn't have the complication of a new registration so it was fairly plain sailing.

Mine was SVAd, I drove across Nottingham from VOSA to DVLA and registered it there and then an hour after SVA!Ferg said:
