R53 Headlights

Hey there,
I've just bought my first Mini, a 52 plate Cooper S. I love it! Just got a quick question. The headlights on it look like Xenons but may just have different bulbs in. They look like they self-level though and someone told me that only proper Xenons have self levelling. They don't have the dots around the light which I thought denoted Xenons...could someone help me out please? I don't have internet access at the moment apart from on my phone or I'd post a pic up.

The ones with the dots around them are the facelift xenons - were fitted from 2004 onwards so yours wont have those.

Do they have washers that pop out of the edge of the surround when they are on and you clean the windscreen? Xenons need to auto level and have washers so if they have them they are factory fit.

Yes they have washers on and are self levelling - does this mean they're pre-facelift xenons then?
