UK Road Trip

Hi Guys,

Im booking a week off in august just so i can get away really and also stretch the GTV's legs. This would be the first week in august. Does anybody know of any events taking place or have any ideas on destinations and activitys. Im open to all ideas but was kind of thinking of heading up north for better driving roads.

Also I will be alone, does this seem weird? ha! was hoping maybe i could just get chatting to the barmaids of the local pubs id be visiting for dinner.

Not meaning to demean the roads of our fair isle, but a week and a £70 eurotunnel ticket could get you much more.

For a start, the Nurburgring is in easy reach...

how about heading upto scotland? Evo I think went to the isle of skye a while back and said it was epic

nothing wrong with a roadtrip on your own either - you could see if there are any trackdays on in the UK that week and combine your roadtrip with one?

Scotland would be fantastic! Just thinking of what I would do during the evenings? Could take the fishing rods maybe?

Europe Sounds great too but think im gonna wait till I have some company! Was also thinking some museum visits etc.

Scotland will be full of caravans & midges in August (!)

I was thinking maybe black mountains in wales to start, then maybe a day near the coast. Then head on up north. Anyone done anything like this before?
