I know, but if handling adjustability remained, the power is there.

Driving a "normal" DS3 top model tomorrow. Love how it looks, just hope the finish, and more importantly, the drive is decent. Seems like an alright package to me. smile

I don't really like french cars in general. It's not because they're french, I just don't like them...

(maybe with the exception of the old 205 GTIs.. always liked them smile )

I was the same, after the 205 and 309 GTi, and the quirky older citroen models, french car makers seem to lose their way a little. But, to me, it looks like they are back.

May report back later with a small report about the DS3, depends if I can be arsed or not hehe

Have you sat in an RCZ? Its like a coffin inside, everything is black and feels like its closing in on you.
And peugeot/citreon arent known for reliability. That would put me off more than anything.

Yep. The lights don't have to be on. Drives well. Want one. Name down for a Racing, if they're RHD.

Why wouldnt they be RHD out of interest?

90,000 euros. Seems a bit rich, the Twingo R2s are around £33,000 according to Evo.

I like the dark headlining, RS Audi's have something similar I belive.

Anyway, back to the DS3. The 110 I had booked a drive in was 'unavailable' so I was let loose in the 90hp diesel instead (5 speed box rather than 6)

I guess everyone has a diferent opinion of how the thing looks, but inside I also think it is quite smart. Plenty of adjustment on the seat and steering wheel, made it very easy to get comfortable. Again the car featured black headlining, piano black inlays and black seats, I guess it would be rather easy to feel claustrophobic in there.

As for the drive, very quiet from the engine with plenty of grunt for a small car, in corners and roundabouts the car felt pretty flat and neutral, but with only 20 miles on the clock I didnt want to spank it too much. On the motorway it pulled pretty well, the on slip was up hill and it still managed to reach 85 (km wink ) by the top. Pulling out for overtakes was effortless. Although rearview from the interior mirror was pretty poor, the door mirrors were sufficent. The B pillars also obstructed view when glancing over my shoulder before pulling out.

It does seem like an 'alright' alright package, but unfortunatly, Citroen won't be getting an order from me at this point, it feels a bit 'young' 'trendy' and 'urban' for me, and my needs.

Sorry to bore you all.. hehe And sorry for the multiple spelling mistakes.

PS.. Salesman told me there would also be a DS4 and DS5 in the future.

Funky little car, friends old man has a Citroën dealer so she has a new yellow one.

Smart little thing, good different alternative to a mini or fiat 500

They're only making a very limited number of them, and the rumour is there's not enough to warrant a right hand drive version. I spoke to the guy in charge of Citroen stand at Goodwood, but not sure whether the prototype actually turned up as is was supposed to. Did anyone get any photos?

But one is a full spec rally car and the other is a hot hatch, so it will not
