As the title really; why lock the thread? I know it was a bit derivative and it's been done before, but why?

Editted for clarity. Mods feel free to move or delete this; it really belongs in the Feedback section.

I was curious about that also. The general posting seemed perfectly civilized. Odd.

Might be bad cars, still might be something valuable in them!

1: For the little scrotes who try every car door to find one thats open.

2: Crap cars are usually easier to make off with, so are actually more of a target than modern cars for which the fkers usually have to break into the house to steal the keys.

3: For the 2 quid in change left in the ashtray (friend actually had the windscreen of Jag XJS smashed for the sum total of 2.40p - there was clearly a more malicious undertone... why smash the windscreen?)

I used to own an MG Midget which I left unlocked because there was no stereo, I never left anything in it, and I'd rather someone rummage around than slash the hood (it did have a good immobiliser which hopefully acted as a deterrent - any long lay-ups I would also remove the king lead from the ignition system)

I didn't get it until I just read the thread name again! hehe

I thought a mod must have pressed the wrong button.. But seeing as its still not been unlocked they must have done it deliberately.
