Anyone seen a smallish, good value plasma on sale?

Hi All

I am not particularly interested in TVs but I need a new one for our study. I called into John Lewis yesterday and saw a blistering array of LCDs, LCD / LEDs etc etc all of which were very nice but the plasma TVs were in a different league. But they were huge.

I'd say we need something like a 32" and I don't want to pay a fortune for it because my children WILL smear it with chocolate and shoot on-screen characters with spud guns / bows and arrows etc.

So, can anyone point me in the direction of a good value Plasma please? Or at that size / value am I just better off going LCD?

The smallest Plasma you can buy, as far as I know, is a 37" Panasonic. John Lewis are selling them at £449 with 5 year warranty. I don't think LCD is anywhere near as good as LCD, so if you can find the space, that would be my recommendation.

I got a 37" Panasonic for my folks (replacing a 21" 4:3 CRT), and it's a good TV. No regrets at all. As someone said, 37" is the smallest plasma you can get, and it's a Panasonic.
