Stepper motor .. I know I am being thick !!

I have been having a few idle issues with the griff recently starts and runs perfectly no hunt no drop in revs. Then once you stop it and start it again it wont idle, with a few revs its fine amnd perfect when moving but when you come to a juction it dies.

So I started the car and disconnected the stepper and it runs perfectly. Stopped it and started it with the stepper disconnected and it runs perfectly.

Does this mean the stepper is kncakered ?

It certainly sounds like it. If the idle is steady with the stepper disconnected, then the stepper must be messing it up.

I fitted a new stepper this morning. My car was running like a dream apart from the revs dropping to zero every time I came to a stop. I reset the ECU and that did nothing. Changed the stepper motor and it's perfect.

FWIW, TVRPower had the cheapest offical stepper motors I could find.

Opens & closes the air flow.. Take off the connection & unbolt, Clean the end with something strong like cellulose thinners or simular. while it out clean inside off chamber where it was removed from. Replace as removed,, should be sorted..
