I got a mate, he's 23 and has no ncb, due to losing it 2 years ago when he wiped out a tree, know one injured but all the passengers claimed for whiplash hence why he lost his ncb. He has no previous convictions, clean licence, safe neighbourhood and the quotes we're getting are horrendous. A 1.1 fiesta is 900 nicker tpft. Anyone know of a decent insurer perhaps classic policy, or someone who will give him a reasonable price?

Thanks

That sounds a reasonable price for a young driver with one claim and no NCB to be fair.

I agree, the car will be almost irrelevant - age and big prior claim are to blame....900 quid sounds reasonable...

To be honest that price doesn't sound too bad given his history.

He could try direct line, churchil, tesco etc but I expect he will be raped any where with a claim on his records.

3 years ago, after crashing a motorbike and subsequently getting 4 points for driving without due care, my insurance at the time on a mk2 golf 1.6 at 19/20 with no NCB TPFT was just over £2000. Utterly disgusting.

Everyone seems to be getting high quotes this year so probably not a lot he can do i'm afraid

I highly doubt they will be much lower than that, sounds about right given the circumstances.
