does the engine have to come out to replace the valve guides? and would this be a costly job with all the gaskets seals etc I know people will say if the engines out do this and do that just incase etc etc but there is a budget and alot of work apparantly has been done to the engine already??
its on flee bay 2002 red and just under 10k sure you would have seen the car... any views thanks chaps

Also, if it is very tired then how has the rest of the bits you can't see been treated? Always buy a TVR on history, condition and how the previous owner has treated it. If you don't then you are buying a potential minefield (or you might be lucky).
