Servicing - Reading, Berks

Anybody able to make any recommendations? I actually live in Wiltshire but have not been over-enamoured of the local agency. The 4.0 Griff is coming up for 60k service - I am no longer fussed whether it is a TVR agency or an independent, as long as they do a good job at a reasonable price.

I work near Reading so anything near the M4 corridor would be handy.

You've got Thames Valley Racetech at Sonning Common(sp), I used them a few times and had good service.

Or Precision Racing near Hurst - both are respected independents.

Steve Howard was trading as Precision Racing, but is now back under his old name of Thames Valley Racing.

He is still at Forest Stud, Hurst, and the telephone number etc are all the same - 0118 903 4909

Steve has many many years of experience on TVRs, both on and off the track. There are no less that 6 Tuscan Challenge race cars at his workshop at the moment, including two being converted to road cars.

He services all manner of road-going TVRs. I always used him for my Griff and he looks after the mechanical side of my Tuscan racing.

Thames Valley Racing (Hurst)
Thames Valley Racetech at Sonning Common
Precision Racing (Hurst)
Thames Valley Racing (Hurst)

- I used Racetech in Sonning Common when Steve was there but my business followed him when he left

David Hendry are one of the cheapest TVR main dealers for servicing. Would keep it official.
