It goes to some daily mail thing for me reporting about it, which spoils the effect.

It's actually an easy thing to do, just get the most amount of links to something (in this case the number) and it'll come up #1 in Google, so 'I'm feeling lucky' automatically goes to it. If a news paper which Google has more trust it writes about it, they can outrank it, thus completely ruining everything.
