German watches have a strong following on here and watch forums.

I myself own 3 Sinns'

Just like Sinn every watch I see from Tutima I want. IMO they don't make a bad looking watch.

Why don't I see any being bought and sold on these forums?

Is it just a matter of price? (my reason for not owning one)

The one on the right of that pic is one of my favourites. They also do a classic in PVD

The FX range are also a really handsome watch.

I have seen these in the flesh in a watch shop in York. Quality seems right up there to me(no expert) and teh watches have a touch of class to them whilst looking slightly different.

I have to say out of the two the one on the right is my favourite as well. A different way to display time - tends to get me every time!

I really want to love the Commando II, it's a Lemania 5100 movement, stripped down to just the hour/min/sec counters, clever integrated chrono pushers & titanium to boot.
It should be up there on my wants list and it's always lurking but I can't really commit to it - don't know why - static / non bezel, size, case shape perhaps, dunno, very nice watch though...

I am feeling some love for Tutima! laugh

I dont own one, but I certainly like the Commando as well. A 5100 movement, and those pushers seems very well engineered. I need to see one in the metal I think, to be absolutely convinced.

The brand itself seems to have been around a fair while starting in Glashutte with all that usually implies. They do not make their own movements but use a variety of Valjoux, ETA and Lemania. As they supplied watches to the German military a lot of their watches have some sort of military reference, although they have some more "dressy" watches now.

They seem to range in price for £500 - £800 for a non chrono, and £1500 - £2000 for a chrono.

Theres a fair bit of competition at that price bracket>

Whilst I like them - a lot - I am not sure I would buy one of these instead of, e.g a Sinn.
