Does anybody have CAD drawings of the GTR?
I would like to find out, how much space there actually is in the car and how to fit a lot of things. I would also like to find out, if a "boot" could luggage compartment could be fitted somehere to be able to at least bring a small suitcase for a weekend trip.
I'm also quite interested in how much space there is behind the dashboard as it's the most likely place to fit the ECU.

Actually no, not yet. I'm still in the pre-planning phase of the build. But I'm also not going to start ordering the parts until I get a better idea, of what I'm getting myself into.
I basically spent every free minute I had the over the last 3 weeks reading up on various subjects regarding the car.
It completely amazes me, how many areas there are, where customizing would be nice. I think, I could still keep busy for a couple of years if I bought a used one and just started altering. ;-)
But still, I really like the GTR and its design... I just also want to make it my own.
Designing a new car from scratch, I'm afraid, is out of the question, as building a GTR is probably going to be beyond my abilities, but I'll have to try none the less

Sorry not interested, esp after watching the F1 this morning....
Ps if you want Luggage space then I'm sorry your out of luck, small hand luggage OK but large suitcase no.... actually well maybe if you fit a Audi V8 motor in the back that would give you 8" in front of the engine.... But then again your kind of missing the point by asking the question in the first place..
Or maybe this proves Ted's point, instead of a Rigid chassis people would prefer more luggage capacity, that's why you know have the ally boxes on the sides of the chassis where there used to be Chassis Diagonal tubes on the MK3's... Remove some rigidity but car easier to sell with Luggage containers... What is this world coming to

I'll buy you a beer to celebrate that, if I get the chance ;-)
Even though I'm from Bavaria, there is no way, I'd dump an Audi V8 in there. I really like the idea of an absolutely oversized V8 thunder God yelling at me from behind.
When I go to the airport alone, carrying just hand luggage, it's obviously not going to be a problem having the small case on the passenger seat.
The reason, why I'm asking for luggage space is quite simple. Going on a weekend trip, when you're not alone, takes at least one hand luggage size case or bag in order to be able to bring at least 2 tooth brushes and not have to share the one spare pair of underpants. ;-)
I really have no intention provoking people to flame me for asking practical questions. I understand that many of you are only interested in getting max performance from the car and use it mostly on the track.
None the less, I really like the Ultima, I like the concept, but some of my preferences may vary from what the consensus might be. So, please don't dismiss my questions as heresy from the start.
I mean, I would really like it, if I could use the Ultima to pick up a person from the airport carrying hand luggage.
