Taimar tailgate

I am tryint to remove the tailgate on my Taimar, but the rods that run fro top to bottom inside the screen are bolted through the hinge plat. The nut is in the bottom of the tailgate. Anyone have any suggestions as to how I get the rods out so can remove the tailgate?

I don't want to remove the hinges from the car, as this will mean stripping the headlining. There just doesn't seem to be enough room to get the rods out. The only solution I can come up with is to undo the nuts at the bottom, and slide the tailgate off the rods as I pull it off the hinges!!!! Not something I relish trying to do.

You have answered your own question, undo the nuts and slide the hatch out, note the amount of washers taken off, as the hatch length is set by the tightening and loosening of the nuts and the washers stop the nut from locking out on the thread.
