Could someone tell me what the timing setting should be for a 6.3 Chevy.

All depends on Compression Ratio Cam selection etc etc.. need more info...

This is the problem at the moment as i do not know the spec.just need something to get me going.

All i do know is it is a 6.3 around 450bhp with a 600 holly and duel plane intake. I assume the cam is quite mild.

What are safe settings - 16 - 35 degrees?

Hi, mine is 16deg at idle running out to 39deg at 3000. That was for an AS 525hp, still use the same for fuel injection and now a slightly modified engine.
