Driving back from Bogner yesterday and having a little blast on some B roads, Dual-C's.

Anyway, was on one said DC about to do a sharpish right hand bend to join a motorway when the carpet in the footwell decided to unstick itself and cover the clutch and brake pedal

So ended up taking the bend in 4th at a much faster rate of knots than i or the gf would have liked! Cue much holding on for dear life from her!

The car performed brilliantly and just took it in her stride, the grip was amazing! Was probably nowhere near her limits but was most def exceeding mine!

Have never taken a bend as fast as that before!

I always have the leading edge of the carpet tucked under the metal pedal assembly shroud to avoid such a problem. Resting my heels on the metal feels more solid as well.

Yes, i'm loving every minute of TVR ownership, already driven over 500 miles in the few weeks iv'e owned her.

She gets so much attention, people just stare are petrol stations.

Yes - my gf family owns a one those fixed caravans there. There were loads of old piddies there enjoying the nice quiet afternoon sun, well they were until i rolled up. One of them shouted out "slow down" - Even though i was doing 10mph, in reponse i put the foot on the clutch and then pressed the loud pedal


I havent decided about the BSG at Beds yet as there are a couple of shows on that day...

Agree - safest to keep carpet under ally, but then I found my heels moved around esp when cornering.

Simply add strip of rubber cut from cheap Halfords mat, and replace when worn.

Strange, don't you guys have a strip of extra strong velcro stitched under the rearmost underside of the floor mat, which holds it in place? My mat stays stuck to this and won't move forwards.

I had the same problem, I tried all sorts of adhesives but as soon as it got hot it would flop back down. Sikaflex 221 was the only thing that would hold it.

Well that Sikaflex 221 done the trick. Bloody tough to get it out of the tube!!! I used it around the rear lights as well as the sealant was coming loose!

I'll make sure i wear gloves when using it next time though, that stuff got all in between my nails and was a bh to get out!

Yep, that could have been me. I was def down that way anyhow.

my first spotted... well half spotted i suppose as it might not have been me and it wasnt in the spotted section.

Still, im not complaining.
