As posted in another thread, I found the issue with my heater fan not working. I had already ordered the Mk5 escort replacement just in case and I have it now.

My fans work but the wires go into this tiny little block:

this block has a couple of capacitors or thermistors in it (its about 2cm sqaure). I think it the connection on it that the issue.

Now I have the replacement part, shows this massive resitor pack on it, which mine doesn't have.

My question is this:

Is this little block my resistor pack and if not where is it as I didn't notice it. Is the resistor in the above pic the resistor pack. looking at my current unit there is not enough wires to connect to this motor?

Mine is an early 2.5, I think they are different to the 3ltr as they seem to have a different heater box surround.

Thanks

Bondy

Added them in. Its ok though as i have located the resistor pack on mine. It is over to the right and it drops inside the right fan assy part (you can see the wires going to it).

Looking at it I coul just rewire the lot to use the resitorpack thats on the replacement but I will first see if the whole assy will go in as I think its slightly bigger so will deliver more air smile
