Hello to all.. I am contemplating buying a 350i thats sat for a couple of years, I know that it needs rear trailing arm bush replaced and interior is a bit tatty although it comes with a cream leather int that the guy didnt fit,,The bushes come with it and various other bits, Is that a major job thats gonna cost an arm and a leg and is there anything else i should be aware of, The guy only wants £2000 for it, TVR is my dream car and i want a project but one thats driveable, Any help would be appreciated.. Many thanks

id be wanting it for a fair bit less than £2k.
a few people have advertised proper (but similar condition) 390's and 400's for that sort of money (and sometimes less)

They are great cars, especially the V8's (sorry 4 & 6 cylinder chaps).
Not as maligned as you think.

Just do your homework 1st.
Look on the classifieds on here.

Try the Wedge Pages for info. Excellent site.

Cheers chaps, Apparently the car comes with a cooling system fitted, A complete new cream leather interior,to replace exsisting one, Stainless exhaust and all the bushes needed that need fitting,I will try to haggle a chunk off.. But today spoke to friend of a friend who runs his own welding comp, When i told him that a chassis for my car is around £4000 and he said B*****KS, It dont come to that much,he done a tasmin a few years ago, Im hoping even if the chassis or outriggers are knackered maybe he can make a jig from exsisting one,so maybe its not so bad, Had a quote from dan taylor and elmwood and both said around £250 for trailing arm bushes,Thats a max price, I paid more than that recently for my rover 420 brakes to be done.. Thats money wasted.. Anyway guys thanks for the input will keep you informed.. Taaaaaa

Road Tax is just over £100 for 6 months. The standard pre Co2 level.

Well had a look at the 350i and although the outriggers looked ok and there was evevn some grey chassis, Orig, but water and oil are leaking from it, The sump was covered in oil and sweat,Front top and bottom craddles looked knackered, The prop looked rusty with some flakyness, There was damage to the bonnet and bumpers, The hood was covered in algea... Shame but i think im not going to waste money, Im gonna save up a bit more and get one doin it.. ta
