Discussion
Hire cars, got to love them.
Picked up an Avis car in Vienna today to drive to Brno for work.

te. Crap driving position, no adjustment of steering wheel or seat hight. Nasty plastics. Lots of loose trim. Poor thing would be bad enough had it not done 67,000 hire car miles. Vibrates over 70 (when you finally get there).
SOme of the measly pit ponies the engine had must have dies too, it cant have been this underpowered since new.
Only good thing is the A/C works given it is 35 degrees.

Even the username "S Line Luxury" makes me chuckle.
I have just updated wikipedia to include that name under the oxymoron section.

The most common form of oxymoron involves an adjective-noun combination of two words. For example, the following line from Tennyson's Idylls of the King contains two oxymorons:
"And faith unfaithful kept him falsely true. "
Other oxymorons of this kind include the following:
Dark sunshine
Happy depression
Amazing dullness
Cold sun
Living Dead
Dark Light
Cold Summer
Smart Failure
Perfect Human
Investment Property
S Line Luxury
S Line is not Luxury, it is hard, it is crashy, it is not luxury. "And faith unfaithful kept him falsely true. "

Can someone explain to me what old luxo boy is trying to imply? I am confused on both the cheapo and VAG comment, plus when could you get hookers from Hertz?
What part do you not understand?ETA: I suppose you did mention confusion on cheapo brand and the VAG comment, but I don't understand how you can't get it?!

if you go to australia never ever hire a camper van from a company that has a name that could be evil or sinful, it really was a WICKED experience and not in the good street wise meaning
thier vehicles are very dubious imo and also alot of other peoples after a short trawl of the interweb, so if you are a father mother brother sister uncle aunt friend etc or just know anyone backpacking Oz tell them to stay well away.

Hertz supply VAG? Surely it'd be VAG supplies Hertz? Besides, they don't, unless you're talking about s
tty SEAT Ibiza 1.2 pauper specs. Last two Hertz cars I had were a Vectra SRI and a Fiesta Ghia. The last Hertz hirecar I had on the continent was a 1.2 punto, which had the absolute crap kicked out of it all the way from Zurich to Stuttgart (by me!). Poor wee thing and a totally deserted autobahn = foot flat on the floor for about 20 minutes at a time, in betwen the odd truck or car here and there.
Hertz aren't tied to one car supplier.
