I recently bought a red S1 and have been reviewing the threads for info.
I have drawn a blank on these so any help would be great.
I need to replace the lower steering column bearing (and carrier?) with the later version as mine is an early model with the plastic bush. Any ideas on part numbers, assuming they are ford parts.
Also I need to rehang the exhaust but need to replace the rubber mountings. Any ideas??

Can't help with the exhaust bits but have you looked at the S parts list hosted on teh SOuth Wales region of the TVR car club here

Do you have a copy of the S series handbook by Steve Heath, very handy, packed full of tit bits and available via the TVRCC again.

Oh yeah, welcome to the Sclub btw

Welcome, I'm sure that they'll be plenty of people to help you out.

Re the lower bearing there is a parts list on the PH site and another one here at www.tvrcc-south-wales.co.uk/Sparts.asp I don't think they are Ford parts.

I'm just about to do just this task and I ordered the bearing and housing direct from David Gerald without any problem.

There is also a guide to replacing the bearing on the West Yorkshire TVR Car Club site but I can't seem to find the link right now.

Also on page 153 of Steve Heaths book on the TVR S (commonly known as 'The Bible') you'll find full instructions. That's available on Amazon or directly from the TVR Car Club.

Enjoy

Colin

Harry got there first.....
