Castor Angle

I'm helping a friend of mine set the suspention up on his Griffith tomorrow evening, as he has stripped the wishbones out for repainting and new bushes.
I have the chamber angles & tracking (toe in) measurements from Steve Heaths book but there is no mention of what the castor angle is supposed to be. I've done a search on the forums but there are no figures quoted any where. Does anyone know what it should be. As I'm sure TVR did not provide spacer shims by the top ball joint if it was not ment to be adjustable.

IIRC castor cannot be changed?

mines not shimmed, and i don't believe it can be changed with std wishbones.

could be wrong - going from memory, (mine doesn't have std ishbones now)

adjustable upper wishbones availavle for Griffs from Peninsula TVR.

Extracted from Factory Wheel u/g notes:

Front castor 4.75 to 5.25 degrees Positive (more important that each side is within 0.5 of the other)

Thanks for the information Dave. Do you know if these figures quoted only apply to the car when fitted with the upgraded wheels, or does it apply to the standard set up as well.
