Top price V8S !!!

You may have already seen this mentioned in another post, and seen it in the classifieds, but take a look at the website!!

Crikey, these guys know how to present a car for sale! It puts the original TVR promotional stuff to shame, and they're working with a 20 year old car! No wonder they advertise photographic services as a sideline! The only shot I would criticise is the one of the boot, which looks decidedly used with a scruffy spare and a lot of rubbish in the gutter.

However, if £12,500 is beyond you, for £500 less they will sell you this:

We all know that it's over-priced but only because we're used to the "S" series being offered at bargain basement prices - and I don't understand why. If it was a Sunbeam Tiger or even a good Cobra replica then £20K would be the starting price.

I think that the fact that S3C's come along at £4K with V8S at £7K+ is unbelievable - one day these things are going to take off. I think that a warehouse full of S series, MGR V8's (laugh not) and good quality XJ6/12's could be the best investment opportunity going....

I don't disagree, these cars are generally undervalued. But it's all relative and I can't see how they can demand such a HUGE premium just because of a nice website.

BTW....I can see their building from the B&B I stay at during the week nr Bicester....the AC 428 is v.rare !

It's worth what somebody is prepared to pay for it - if, as Andy says, it's the best V8S available, and that's what somebody wants, then they might pay more to get it. I wouldn't, but other people's priorities might be different.

If Andy's V8S was for sale, or Tinks, would you expect to get those for £6,000? (I mention them only as winners of "best V8S" at SCH in recent years, apologies to anybody else who has a tasty V8S!)

If Dave Bruce's S1 came up for sale, would you expect to get that for £3,500? (again with apologies to other with V6 S's in very good nick).

I wouldn't (unless you're reading this Dave in which case I have the cash waiting!).

I wouldn't mind but it has stone chips and 76,000 miles ! I'd pay £12.5k for a concours car but this is a total rip off.

Lol im thinking about it, I'd be keeping the 911 though, awesome machine... I'll either get another tiv or a Westfield depends if the wife gets her way and we move as that might delay it somewhat....
