battery light on

hello, my s2 not been used for last few week's went to start today first turn of key, then revs up and down and cut out started again this time battery light on all time could it be alternator? have checked fuses in engine bay all ok, any help would be appreciated thanks mac.

I found that 2 weeks was enough to drain the battery in my S1 - but that would simply mean no joy when turning the key (beyond a tickety tickety noise and loads of tell tales flashing).

Your car turns and starts OK? Even so, I would still make sure the battery is 100% charged before worrying about more serious things.
