Gauging interest – pre Sunday Service run (25/7) / Bucks
Discussion
What?
A nice Sunday drive in the Buckinghamshire countryside before arriving in convoy at the PH Sunday Service at BMW Bracknell later on in the morning.
When?
Meet at 7am for a 0715 departure. The route takes us north into Buckinghamshire on a mix of fast duals, A roads and twisty B roads. There is a rest/photo/chat point after about 75 mins at a scenic spot (ETA 0830). We then leave the rest stop (ETD 0900) and head back south for the Pistonheads Sunday Service at BMW in Bracknell taking a fairly direct / motorway route, which should take just under an hour (ETA 1000).
Where?
Meet at the BP petrol station on the A40/Oxford Road (just before the interchange with the A412). To get there, exit the M25 at J16 taking the M40 towards London. After only a mile or so, turn off at J1 (Denham) and take the first left (heading north west) at the roundabout. The petrol station is about a mile down this road (A40) on the left. (GPS co-ords are 51.568388,-0.504609, sorry cannot find an accurate postcode!).
Map/Route?
Please send me a PM and I'll email you back a google maps link. Please keep the route details private for obvious reasons. N.B. The route only shows from the start to the rest point which is the tricky bit. From the rest point to Bracknell is very straightforward on main roads: A41->M25->M4.

hi all,
i have put together a route now which takes in some great roads in bucks/herts/beds starting off near the m25/m40 interchange, a stop after about 75-90 mins and then ending up at the sunday service in bracknell. send me a pm if you want a copy of the google maps route later in the week, once we know if we have enough interest to make it happen!
cheers,
m5beast

if you can stick your name down on the list that would be helpful, just so we don't leave anyone behind!

yes I'd be happy to bring it forward a bit - its just a question of finding the right balance between having quiet roads and getting up at stupid o clock! The SS only starts at 9 and I don't think there's any reason we "have" to get there for 9 bang on so I guess pushing forward by 30 mins wont hurt. I've planned the route so that the vast majority of the good roads are before the stop off point (which is around 75 mins into the run) so I guess getting there for 8 should still mean quiet roads. After the stop off point we have around 20-30 mins on nice roads then onto the motorway network for the last 30-40 mins.
So is everyone happy with 630? Or even 7am?
