What is it about them?

There's one that parks near here for the majority of the day every day. It's kinda ugly from the front 3/4 view, the proportions of the window line at the back aren't that great...

But...would I have one over a big merc / panamenrmanrmarara / Rapide?

Oh yes. Without a doubt.

Is that literally just cut and paste from the top gear script?

Not as impressive as quoting a post 3 minutes before it was posted!

I think its the best looking current saloon. (yes, including the Rapide, which has a awkward looking C pillar ). If I were in the market for a four door car, this would be #1 on my list, despite some negatives.

I think they are gorgeous... although my father test drove one a few years ago and most of the dash came off in my hands. Hence he didn't buy one!

A mate of mine has one in dark blue. I know what you mean about the looks, but the thing sounds like a wounded tiger, even on tickover.

Very nice piece of kit, and the depreciation is epic, so there are some good s/h ones around.

Yes, it's a definite "buy used and keep it" car.

Buy new and you're looking at something like £100 a day depreciation....
