How old is the car? A/C re-gas was a rip off-just paid £49.

I don't think the above is too bad on what is at the end of the day an old car, how has an 8 year old car ended up with a battery that is 10 years old though??!!

I think it has done well!! This is one of the "joys" of owning an older car, sometimes you get lucky and all the odds & sods have been done other times you get this. One reason I buy new & keep them 10+ years, you know exactly what has happened from day 1.

Just seen that it was petrol in the opening post! You seem to be paying over the odds for your repairs an aux belt should have been no more than £60 fitted and as comparison a/c regas is £69 at my work inc leak detection dye. when you say wont start is it turning over? If so does the engine management light come on as it would probably be cheaper to get someone to come to you to scan it and repair it rather than having it recovered somewhere smile

Aux belt £110 ??? i assume you mean the tensioner was replaced as well??

Fuel pumps a maybe have seen them fail before but make sure the crank & cam sensors are ok (does it have a spark??) but check in the fuse box under the bonnet there is a fuseable link (20 amp iirc) & these often fail & cut power to the fuel pump smile

What is the issue with the sunroof? I'm sure there is a reprogram procedure if the battery is disconnected(like the windows).
