ANOTHER tyre post!!
Discussion
My 97 Chim 400 has 500 wheels on it and PAS, with S02s all round (225/50/15s and 245/45/16s). The rears are almost new, but the fronts are barely legal, so, do I.....
Buy 2 S02s for the front, but risk not being able to find them for the back when they wear out (12 months at a guess)
Buy 2 S03s for the front, and have odd tyres for 12 months
OR, buy Eagle F1s for the front (I had these on my last 2 cars and they were amazing) and then get F1s on the rear when they wear out.
Finally, would I notice much loss of grip if I went for a 205 on the front, as living in London parking can be hard work, even with PAS.....
Thanks.

most only have four and a spare!!!
It's funny how you can mis-read things.....
Some will tell you that SO3s are rubbish, Steve Heath will explain why there are differences which will leave you with more confidence for 15" and 16" but worry you if you run 17" or 18", and others will tell you how brilliant they are.
I am running '3s up front and (temporarily) '2s on the back - the fronts are well capable, the whole set up is fine. I'd go for the threes.
