cant decide on a holiday for this year... choices are a tour of France in the car, staying at different hotels...

Or just looked at a couple of Thompson Cruises... if I chose the cruise, what should I expect? anyone want to share experiences? It would be my first cruise holiday....

Butlins on the water, dressing for dinner involves putting on a sleeved T shirt to replace the 'wife-beater' wink

that's kine of what i expected... I have looked at some of the more expensive cruses but they seem to be more formal, and I don't want that either...

My wife's Aunt and Uncle do P&O cruises and they love to dress in a ball gown and a black suite and bow tie... I really wouldnt want to be spending two weeks with people like them!!

any other comments before i make a final decision?

did thomson once, never again, they should be renamed Chavs Ahoy

have been with a couple of others who are far nicer and attract a better class of guest, have a look at Royal Caribbean (excellent) slightly more money but well worth it

can only assume Thomson pitch their prices low to attract the knuckle dragging fraternity, which they achieve with a gold star

DON'T DO IT
