Bought my BMW 520 touring 2 weeks ago from a dealer, think the left hand rear airbag has gone due to a loud bang a a rapid loss of air. Do i need to fit a new airbag or can uprate the rear shock absorbers to get round this?

Also do i have any recourse to the dealer?

I fitted a pair if new air springs to my E39 this evening. 45 mins to put the car on axle stands & 15 mins per side. Easy to DIY but in your situation definitely back to the dealer.

They were OEM - they are the sports suspension but same price as the non-sports.

Left: 37121095081
Right: 37121095082

Each one was £150.29 + VAT

Parts numbers for the non-sports are 37121094613 & 37121094614

Hope that helps.
