A mate/neighbour has a Mk3 Golf GTi 2.0. He is wanting to decat it at the end of the month. Is there a way of bypassing the lambda sensor or will it mess up the mixture badly? What's the normal practice?

Cheers,

CK

usual way is to fit the sensor in the cat bypass pipe...most already have the threads for it

Think I got the wrong end of the stick.....he wants to bypass it now. He thinks it is playing up and causing erratic engine behaviour. Anyway of fooling the ecu??

if you suspect its dodgy ,unplug it and see if the problem goes away
