Hi folks

Im looking for some recommendations of quality, reliable builders in Aberdeen/shire, had a couple not turn up to quote etc already.

Im looking to get a brick garage built on the side of the house, size would be 26ft X 13ft wide, really it would only be a 3 sided structure with existing wall of house running down one side, founds would also need to support any future extension above-anyone have any ideas of likely cost of such a garage.

Also considering a steel garage but that would rule out any extention above.

All help appreciated

Gav

My neighbour in Alford is a builder and built a very nice garage in his own property.

It's a substantial double garage but I've no idea of the cost. I'll get his details and PM them to you.

If you are serious about extending on top of your garage you would be cheaper getting all the work done at the same time.

You are going to have to spec your garage to take an extra storey anyway so budget for an additional 50% for two storeys. It will be a much higher percentage if you have a builder come back to add the extra floor at a later date.

Yes, Mark Paterson. His 'garage' has an upstairs too.
